"Understanding MEP Systems and System Requirements for Commercial and Residential Construction"
John E. Kohler, P.E., Rory S. Ronan, P.E., and Joseph V. Lembo, P.E. of Kohler Ronan, LLC Consulting Engineers, Danbury and New York City, will present a seminar addressing the most common questions that the Architect may have in executing a project with an MEP Engineer or Design Build Contractor. The three-part seminar will include:
· A detailed review of common MEP systems, including system components and sustainable options such as geo-thermal heating and cooling.
· Focus on the two common methods for project delivery, explaining in detail typically “what comes in the box” in terms of services and the role of the MEP engineer or design/build contractor; how to set up the project for success; understanding what questions to ask the G.C., the HVAC Contractor.
· Pitfalls in the construction process: what can and will go wrong; including a review of MEP issues that typically arise and how to recognize and address them for a successful project.
