Water Intrusion Issues with Exterior Walls

Description: This Advanced Building Code course, "Water Intrusion Issues with Exterior Walls: The Interplay between Mother Nature, the Code, and the Law," addresses specific requirements of the Florida Building Code as they relate to the design and performance requirements for exterior walls of veneer construction. Upon completion of the course, design professionals will have a better understanding of specific requirements for the design and construction of effective weather resistant exterior veneer walls and be able to apply this knowledge to their current projects and/or review of the drawings and/or construction of the work.

The Florida State Board of Architecture and Interior Design requires a minimum of two hours of an Advanced Florida Building course every biennium for licensure. As a service to AIA Connecticut members, we are offering this course at the AIA Connecticut offices at a discounted price for members. Reporting to the Florida State Board will be facilitated by AIA Connecticut through the AIA Florida chapter.
