Jim DeStefano, P.E., AIA, will present a program on wood science and wood construction. A structural engineer with DeStefano & Chamberlain, Inc., Fairfield, Jim has extensive professional and personal experience invconstructing with wood.

Wood is the most common and prolific building material in use today. Its application is not limited to just structural framing, but includes siding, flooring, roofing, trim, doors, windows and millwork. It is available in a variety of species, shapes, color and sizes. We specify it and design with it every day, but how much do we really know about it?
